I got a call from the Darkman of Sk8mafia, DC24. He told me that they were in my hood skating the bump to bar. I asked him what was going down… I heard the camera clicking away then a seething yell from the distinct voice of Brandon Turner in the distance. The phone cut out. I knew that I had to get there fast. Brandon is an unpredictable beast of a skateboarder. Once it’s done, it’s done. It usually doesn’t take him long either.

This bump has become pretty recognizable as of late. Seeing as how some pretty heavy shit has gone down over this hurdle. 360 flip takes the cake though. The bar is over hip high. The bump is rough and about 6 inches tall. The runway is the main thoroughfare through a gauntlet of fist-pumping Bostonians to granny’s in rascal scooter’s. It is no joke.

This is just a small glimpse into what it takes to get a trick these days. Fun x anxiety x homies x burritos x Joose x 5 feet of 360 flip = 1 trick of 40 in a Pro part.
